The MGNREGA (NREGA) job card is a document issued to rural households under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. It entitles the household to up to 100 days of guaranteed wage work per year and records the work done and wages paid.
Go to nrega.nic.in, open Reports then Job Card/Registration, choose your state, district, block and gram panchayat, and open the Job Card/Employment Register to see the full list of job card holders.
Apply at your local Gram Panchayat with the names of adult household members willing to do manual work, a photo and address/age proof. The card is issued free of cost, usually within about 15 days.
